Together Clare and George Hart have lived for extended periods in England, Russia, South Africa, India, and the USA. They have traveled widely with explorations in India, Nepal, Tibet, Fiji, Australia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Angola, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Canada, USA, Yugoslavia, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Siberia.

Throughout their travels they have collected geological and ethnographic materials and spent time studying the customs, architecture, art and culture of where-ever they have found themselves: from remote villages in India to bus stops in Tibet.
